Finn Juhl

NV-53 Lounge Chair, 1953

One of Finn Juhl’s most rare and sought after designs. The NV-53 was produced by master cabinetmaker Niels Vodder, Juhl’s collaborator throughout his most productive period from the mid-1940s to mid-1950s. This example comes in highly figured Brazilian rosewood, the iconic sculpted, floating arm rests sit on black stretchers. The seat has been reupholstered in grey wool fabric. The chair is branded under the seat.
