Erik Risager-Hansen
This exquisite Model 66 desk from Severin Hansen Jnr. was released under his full name of Erik Risager-Hansen as part of his No. 60 series. This was his second collection of tables designed for producers Haslev Mobelsnedkeri from the town of Haslev, Denmark, in 1960. The 60 Series followed on from Hansen's successful 30 Series in the late 1950s, and further developed his signature mitred corner joints by applying the detail to turned rather than square legs. Hansen had a career-long association with Haslev Mobelsnedkeri and together with his father Hans Severin Hansen, was a shareholder in the company until it was sold in the 1970s.
The top is made from oak veneer whilst the legs, edgings and drawer fronts are solid oak. Each side has a 3-drawer cabinet with plenty of storage space. The desk is in excellent vintage condition and has been professionally refinished and restored by our team in London.
